The ART...

...Of Presentation! Bows, Bows, Bows, Bows... Bows... Bowssss! (In my Jay Z girls, girls, girls voice)

Wrapping, tying, trimming, accenting... Gifting is my passion. I take the art of presentation seriously. Everything coordinates the card, to the gift itself, to the gift bag/box, to the wrapping paper, to the candles on the cake. It all feeds off each other! When I gift it's based off the full picture, it tells a story.

20140323-005131.jpg

Often it's not just about the gift, it's about what you see before you get to the actual gift. So pretty, you don't even want to open it, the presentation stands alone.

Paper so luxe it takes you 10 minutes to open the gift because, you don't want to rip it, you want to save it. Card so detailed you frame it. Ribbon so lush you promise to reuse it. Little embellishments so special you keep it as a keepsake.

I take pride in giving stuff. It has to look dramatic. Why? Because it represents me. It represents my brand and the way I want to be viewed to the world. It's the small things that matter most. People appreciate the time and effort it takes to put things together. They know I care, because I put a piece of me in to it.

How do you present your Kondiments?

Dish On It...

20140312-181121.jpg A persons Kondiments are not just what they wear but also what the different aspects of their life wears (look like)!

Special detail should be paid to everything in your life. What does your silverware look like? Are your dishes accessories to your kitchen? Do your dishes add flavor to your kitchens decor?

If you had a dinner party or friends over, will they eat off paper plates and plastic forks, or will they be presented with culinary that represents who you are?

It's all equally important, how you present yourself inside and outside of your home should be a mirror reflection!

Even though dishes may be hidden behind a cabinet it is important that they speak volumes when on display, the same as you would when you step out your door!

A Rainy Mix!

20131011-183914.jpg Working from everywhere BUT the office today! I took my mobile office to Corner Bakery, AT&T, the Dr's Office, Neimans, Saks, BCBG, Chick-fil-A, the grocery store ... I couldn't wait to pull this trench out and this rainy day seemed like a good reason to be 'DOTTED'! Trench: Forever 21 Blazer: Zara T-Shirt: Madwell Jeans: G-Star Sneakers: Marc By Marc Jacobs

Krazy Kute: J.Crew's New Lulu Frost!

I'm kinda sorta something like obsessed with the new Lulu Frost Capsule Collection for J.Crew! A dash of Retro, Glam, Bling and Color on staple accessories, creates a very yummy look! From Necklaces, to Earrings to Bracelets (that serve up an exceptional dish of arm candy), you can not go wrong with any of these delicious treats! Everyday I'm salivating over these Kondiments... thinking of color combinations to incorporate them in or outfits to best display their beauty! Owning a few of these pieces are in my near feature. Very, very near future!

Since I have the J.Crew Blythe Blouse in this ad paired with the bangles, I feel this is further confirmation that I NEED these circular treasures in my life!

If I had to choose, although I don't want to, but if I had to choose favorites... these are at the top of my list!

These Old Hollywood Glam pieces are popping up everywhere... before I thought about writing this post... I saved this picture in my phone... I was so excited to see the line in a publication!

J.Crew's Jenna (President) and Marissa (VP Head of Design) sitting with LuLu Frost jewelry designer Lisa Salzer... I love the piece featured here too! So Regal!

At J.Crew's 'Fashion's Night Out' I got to see the lovely Lisa, as she parlayed with Marissa for a few moments talking to customers and fans of the two lines!

This season the jewels are at a moderate price point ranging from $45 to $200! That's a steal for these Art-Deco designs!

Kute Kondi's... How to Accessorize!

1. Anthropology Necklace

2. J.Crew Wrap Bracelets and Glass Ball Bracelet, Pandora Wrap Bracelet, Forever 21 Metal Bracelet

3. Marc by Marc Jacobs Polka Dot Clutch

Lately, my Kondiments been poppin'!  An easy flow of accessories make me happy! The link from one to the other on this day is not clear from first glance, but they all some how work together! It's in the Details!!

My H&M bustier bra was the gel holding my accessories together. The rose, coral, green and taupe toned print guides the direction for each of my pieces. Except my purse... that was a bonus, the cherry on the top. The process of creating a well accessorized look comes from one thought... either color, piece of clothing, shoe... and it goes from there. Pick one item extract the colors, create a theme and coordinate  ...the most exciting factor to never forget  always incorporate an element of surprise!

Oldie But Goodie: Fendi

I can vividly remember working at Arden B. in 2001 and being 'nLOVE with Fendi's Baguette double-'F' classic bag. Around that time the different color closure flaps were adorned with big jeweled brooches, and the bags were made of funky patterns and exotic materials! Oh, how I loved thee... Fendi, renamed after Edorado Fendi in 1925, was my college Love, I held the now LVMH owned company on a creative level higher than other Luxury brands. The Trend was Epic! For years attention has not been paid to the brand who's creative director remains the famous Karl Largafeld! Other powerhouses held top spots that kept them in the forefront of the media and on consumers 'want/need this in my life' list!

In recent years Fendi designs have resurfaced with a BANG! Their Ready-to-Wear collections and new handbag silhouettes are retuning the brand to it's rightful place [the top] in fashion with it's show-stopping pieces.

A week ago Rihanna was spotted in New York in a laid back outfit... Casual Blouse, Skinny Jeans, Nude Christian Louboutins, Staple Gold Accessories and the Fendi Zucca Clutch! Her look made me fall back in 'nLOVE with the iconic FENDI! Its imperative for that purse to be in my possession ASAP!

Oh and we can't forget the Baguette queen ...this name necklace wearing cutie had a baguette for almost every look! Fendi flowed with her style as easy as Manolo Blahniks slipped on her feet and we lived for every moment as Carrie Bradshaw Fashioned her way through 'Sex and The City'.

SJP delivered the now famous line...

"I'm homeless! I'll be a bag lady. A Fendi bag lady, but a bag lady!" #NICE

...Don't call it a come back... Fendi's been here for years!

Eye Spy: Prada Resort 2012

Although, it may seem premature to post on 2012 Resort collections as seasonally we are approaching Fall/Winter, the Fashion calendar is already 'on to the next'. Plus, there's nothing wrong with an early reveal, especially when 40 of the top designers have already displayed their lineup. Hey, it's no time like the present to start preparing a list of next seasons 'Must Haves'!! Clicking through Style.com, I stumbled upon Miuccia Prada, editorial photos for next years Prada Resort collection. Intrigued, I decided to indulge in the haute soccer mom designs, laced with cool tones, flow-y skirts and whimsical accessories. A plethora of pieces caught my eye... not just because I loved them, but the fact that they were reminiscent of concepts I've seen before.* Admittingly it wasn't a Prada collection I expected. The designs didn't ring true to the brand, although the detailing was great.

*The Lip and flower print a nod to  Marc Jacobs... the floral print pants hinted at Lilly Pulitzer, dress styles and shapes looked like Kate Spade with some Diane Von Furstenberg inspirations. Those references made it hard to feel the true essence of Prada. The fashion house known for its strong lines and clean silhouettes.

Not until late in the collection with the appearance of black Lace, could I establish a direction which screamed PRADA. Even though I didn't drool over every look, I ADORED every moment of the accents... the studs, hats, scarfs and totes all gave me a warm & fuzzy feeling! I could envision myself incorporating those components in my Spring wardrobe!

As a Fan and collector of scarfs... the necktie, ascot inspired look was very appreciated. My thoughts kept focusing on where I've seen this pattern scarf before?... Then it dawned on me I Eye Spy'd it at J.Crew. It has been a special gift of mines to remember great detail!

For Spring 2011 J.Crew collaborated with England's, Drakes London providing an exclusive range of scarves, a pocket square version is sold in-store and online.

Prada's preppy, bold looks gave a mix of Grease and Adams Family type of glamour! A pale sorbet color palette, will transition well from the desolate Winter to a rebirth of life with easy breezy Spring fashion!

Once Upon A Time: Chanel Fall RTW 2011

In a land far away during a cold desolate Winter, we draw upon a forest. Emerging through the gritty atmosphere one can see trees, boulders and a flicker of light, illuminating fashion's powerhouse... Chanel! "I like the idea of something destroyed, and then life comes back through the girl coming out of the light!" --Karl's vision for the set, as it came to him in a dream.

If designer/mastermind, Karl Lagerfeld ,wanted to evoke the feeling and image of darkness, the Wintery forest scenery at the Grand Palais delivered.  His 2011 Fall Ready-to-Wear season suggests either everyone has an abundance of garments to choose from or  at least hints to the chaos in women's lives. Therefore, instead of picking one single coat, they decided to pile them on! A style seen throughout the presentation. My favorites were the brand's iconic tweed jackets placed over a male inspired jacket, designed as a single piece. Clever!

Layers, patterns, baggy, and tailored looks were all smattered into the styles of several types of everyday women. This grungy line of of gray, black and white drew on the theme of a tomboy. A woman who's addicted to dressing a bit masculine, with feminine quality. One who works hard in the tailored trousers, plays hard in combat shoes and loves hard in capelet jackets.

The key attention seeking elements were the oversized ankle warmers, not quite a leg warmer, not a sock but a dramatic ankle accessory! It played off the infinity of the pant and danced off the shoe! Where one began and the other end is a secret only known to it's wearer.

The unison of the jumpsuit provides an ease, removing the thought process of using numerous pieces to create a chic look. Lagerfeld brought out all the elements Chanel's known for in these utilitarian jumpsuits: heavy quilted leather, tweed, and lace.  Making this ideal onesie a transitional piece going from day to night!

Fixating a permanent cuff in trousers gave way to the notion of adjusting to this grimy atmosphere. No need to have our trousers drag the ground, being soiled this Fall/Winter from precipitation.

Simple staple accessories adorned the runway models, a favorite was the circle quilted leather hand pouches, a great go to purse for nights out! Fingerless gloves, tweed flowers, big gaudy jewels,  oversized pockets, flight glasses, and big gold link chain purses... all noteworthy additions sure to create a happy ending for any of this Fall/Winter season ensembles!

In all, this show keeps in tune with the boy/girl trend everyone is playing on, kudos to Chanel for tackling this concept and being victorious! Every fashionista wanting to infuse a little masculinity into their style should be ripping a page out of Karl's book!
