My Blogger boo Ty, from Gorgeous in Grey, presented me with a challenge when I informed her I began blogging again. She said "Kee... you have to be consistent". I totally agreed. The challenge was to blog for SEVEN days straight! I passed and failed the challenge. Although I didn't post everyday, for seven days, I did create blogs and content everyday for seven days... just had to post them at alternate times, when the content was complete.
Sitting on the couch last night a few weeks ago :(, the boo informed me someone we knew had a fashion blog. Meh! Okay, who doesn't. Well, to be honest, I don't have a FASHION blog, I began to explain. I don't know crap about fashion. I don't follow trends, I don't care about who designed what, Red Carpets/Award Shows/Fashion Week photos are not important to me. I will look at the photos, but I don't have to be there for every moment of them. If I see it, I see it, if I don't my heart is not broken. LOL!
I like what I like. I wear what I love. That's it. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.
Don't get me wrong, I love looking at beautiful garments, I love Style, I love all things exclusively fabulous. I appreciate style, colors, quirky pairings, and people who own their looks. I love simple lines and shapes, and clean silhouettes... which is why one of my favorite designers is Calvin Klein, a lot of designers are going back to simple and giving the icon a run for his money! :) And other designers are going waaaaay left and being wild with their designs, and I'm okay with that too!
My goal with this blog is to help people with ideas on how to put looks together. I genuinely want to encourage people to look nice and have fun with their clothes.
I would say I have more of a Life's Style blog. It's about how I style my life. It's about being positive. It's about being yourself and wearing what works for you. It's about how you want to style your life, your brand, and how you want to be perceived.
People always tell me they come to my blog to get ideas on how to wear items they own... a 'What Would Kee Do' type of thing. And I love that!
I've had style sessions and my clients are like "really... you would put that..., with that..." lol. Yes, I would. It's about taking risk and putting the unexpected together to keep your style fresh!
"Thank you Ty for always believing in me. Thank you viewers for sticking with me. My blogger family is the best!" *e-hair flip*
